| Under the Gun |
The position of the player to the left of the big blind who has to act first in a round of betting before board cards are dealt. |

| Underdog |
A person or hand that is less likely to win a pot vs. an opponents hand. |

| Unlimited Poker |
A poker game where no limit is placed on the size of bets or raises in. |
|
|
| Up |
The higher of two pairs in a hand. For example a hand with a pair of kings and jacks is "Kings Up". See also Over. |
|
|
| Upcard |
Cards that are dealt face up so that all players may see it. Typically in a Stud game. |
|
|
| UTG |
Acronym for under the gun. |
