Pacific Poker Launches Turbo Games

"We undertook extensive surveying of our player base and the number one concern was games dragging on too long. As a result of this, we have introduced games that have a shortened time to make a decision and the levels go up quicker."

There are two types of accelerated games. The first are Turbo games, which give the player five seconds for the blinds and 10 seconds for the other rounds.

The second type are the fast games, which allow seven seconds for the blinds and 14 seconds for the other rounds.

The free money practice version of Pacific Poker has an even larger selection of turbo games. "We have multi tables that only grant seven seconds and levels go up every two minutes. There are the Nitro Sit and Go tables that give 10 seconds and the Super Fast Heads Up tables that only allow seven seconds to make a choice."

The response of the practice players has been overwhelmingly positive; the majority agreement is that the reduced time forces them to make quicker decisions and really improves their poker play.
